Anybody who can produce a video or audio recording of Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, advising his church members not to watch television would receive ₦1 million from a Nigerian guy.
In the midst of a debate concerning the cleric’s views on television and whether or not he had previously dissuaded Deeper Life followers from watching it, X user @MathiasIgonor was the target of the challenge.
The client insisted that if someone could provide reliable proof that Kumuyi had made such a claim, he would be willing to pay the money.
The man challenged @MathiasIgonor or anyone else with proof to show the tape.
“I’ll give you or anyone ₦1m if you/they can provide a video clip or Audio clip where Pastor Kumuyi told his members not to watch TV,” he stated.
However, he clarified that the recording would first be scrutinised to determine its authenticity, so the evidence would not be taken at face value.
“Video clip will be authenticated and checked for originality, Date of the Sermon (Preaching) will also be confirmed,” he added.
