Flora, a housemate on Big Brother Naija Season 11, broke down in tears after Big Brother revealed that she was one of the season’s Gambits, which immediately eliminated her from the competition for the ₦160 million grand prize.

Big Brother advised her to conceal her identity from the other housemates and outlined the duties associated with the assignment during her diary session on Thursday.

Big Brother said:

“Flora, you are the Gambit. From this moment on, your identity as the Gambit must remain a secret. If you reveal your identity, you may be disqualified.”

Flora was clearly upset by the news and found it difficult to contain her tears as she realised the consequences of her new position.

Responding, she said:

“I will try my best. I would’ve preferred to win. I do not think staying longer is enough.”

Her confirmation comes days after presenter Ebuka Obi-Uchendu declared during Sunday’s live eviction ceremony that people had selected Flora and fellow contestant Aikou as the two Gambits for Season 11.

The housemates were unaware of the twist until Big Brother formally revealed it to them during their diary sessions, while viewers were already aware of it.

Aikou, Flora, and Gambits are no longer qualified to compete for the ₦160 million top prize. Rather, they will stay in the house as Big Brother’s undercover operatives, conducting covert operations meant to affect the other competitors’ interactions and events without disclosing their identities.
