Mrs. Sarah Nwanyisunday Oparaocha, a 99-year-old woman from Etitinabu Na Ndagbo in Afaraukwu, Abia State, has urged the Federal Government to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Speaking to journalists at her home in Afaraukwu, Kanu’s hometown, the elderly woman expressed her heartfelt desire to see him return while she was still alive.

She believes that seeing him in the community again would be a great source of personal fulfillment.

Her appeal coincided with a meeting reportedly attended by community members who also advocated for Kanu’s release.

Mrs. Oparaocha told reporters in Igbo, laced with proverbs, that she prays daily to God to touch the hearts of Nigeria’s leaders and allow Kanu to reunite with his people.
