A woman has described how, when she knelt to welcome their pastor at a church service, her husband sent her back to her father’s house.

The woman who told the story claimed that the husband had insisted that she treat him with the same respect and had frequently cautioned her against kneeling for any clergyman.

The woman allegedly told her husband that because she and other churchgoers view their pastor as their spiritual father, they customarily kneel when they welcome him.

When the couple went to church together last week and the woman once again knelt to meet the pastor, the argument allegedly reached a breaking point.

The spouse allegedly urged her to leave and go back to her father’s place after they got home.

The story claims that the wife apologised and clarified that her behaviour was customary in the church, but her husband refused to accept the apologies.

According to reports, the woman is currently staying at her father’s house as her relatives keep begging her husband to change his mind.

The incident has sparked conversations about religious traditions, boundaries between spouses and spiritual leaders, and respect in marriage.

Although the woman believes that kneeling in front of the pastor is a sign of respect, her husband is alleged to have a different opinion because she doesn’t kneel in front of him.

According to reports, the woman’s family is still working to get the couple back together, but their current predicament is still unsolved.
