A Nigerian woman has went to social media to express her surprise after her friend accepted a marriage proposal from a man she had previously exposed as cheating.
The anecdote, which was shared on X (previously Twitter), prompted numerous internet reactions.
The woman revealed how she found her friend’s boyfriend was cheating when she saw him on a date with another woman.
She was shocked by the incident and decided to gather proof before taking any action.
To protect her buddy, she took photos of the man with the other woman and gave them to her as proof.
Her purpose was to guarantee that her friend understood the facts and could make an informed decision regarding the connection.
Her buddy allegedly confronted the man after learning of the proof, which caused their relationship to terminate.
The woman thought she had done the right thing and that the issue was settled at the time.
But a month or so later, the same friend showed up, claiming that the man had proposed while proudly displaying an engagement ring.
The woman said he had expressed regret and said he had changed.

“I found out my friend’s man was cheating on her when I happened to see him on a date with another woman. I took pictures and sent to her, which led to them breaking up—just for her to pop up one month later with an engagement ring talking about ‘he proposed, he’s changed’. I blocked her.”
