A guy has related the story of a sixty-year-old woman who went to the UK despite supposedly getting a terrifying warning from her prophet just before the trip.
The man claims that the woman, the mother of his sister’s friend, obtained a six-month visitation visa to the UK earlier this year in order to see her daughter for Omugwo, a Nigerian custom in which a mother or family member helps a new mother and child following childbirth.
The woman apparently went to see her prophet approximately two weeks prior to her planned departure to let him know about her impending trip.
The prophet is said to have warned her about the voyage after praying for her.
The prophet told her, “Ọ̀nà ò dá.”
The narrator explained that the Yoruba expression means, “The road is not good.”
He also said that the prophet claimed to be seeing blood, which left the woman terrified and unsure whether to continue the journey.
Nevertheless, her daughter persisted in assuring her that everything would be alright and ultimately persuaded her to travel in spite of her anxieties.
After that, the woman went to the UK and stayed with her daughter until her visit was over.
Despite the warning she had gotten prior to her journey, the narrator claims that she came home on Monday in good health and strength.
In retrospect, the guy contended that if the trip had been cancelled due to the prophecy, she would have missed the chance to travel to the UK for the first time.
The incident has sparked more general concerns about fear, religious prophecies, and the degree to which people let these warnings affect important personal choices.
