A Nigerian man has stirred reactions online after opening up about the challenges he and his wife reportedly face whenever they go shopping at local markets.
According to him, he married an albino woman — not a foreigner — yet some market traders allegedly assume otherwise and immediately increase the prices of goods once they see the couple together.
Expressing his frustration, the man said the repeated experience has become unfair and discouraging for both him and his wife.
“Please Nigerians, I got married to an albino woman, not a white woman. The things market women are doing to me and my wife is not fair. Anytime we go to the market, they keep increasing the price of goods immediately they see us,” he said.
His statement has since sparked conversations on social media, with many users sharing mixed reactions and personal experiences regarding price discrimination in markets.
