Ejiro, also known as Styled by Ejiro, is a fashion entrepreneur who has publicly discussed how she rebuilt her life and career during a period of catastrophic financial and emotional loss.
Ejiro testified at Streams of Joy International that she gave up her successful fashion brand after joining an online religious community whose teachings and guidelines fundamentally changed her life.
She clarified that she was convinced to give up her wealth and belongings in accordance with what she saw as divine instructions.
She claims that the procedure caused her to lose her personal belongings, savings, and fashion business.
She continued by saying that she eventually gave up her house and other possessions since she felt the sacrifices were essential.
She claimed that the incident also caused a rift with her family, leaving her alone and mentally troubled.
In an attempt to find her, friends and family started the #WhereIsEjiro campaign on social media last year after her absence from public life attracted a lot of attention.
The designer claimed that her departure from the religious group on July 7, 2025, marked a turning point in her life. She started rebuilding from scratch with the help of her church, 21 days of fasting, and encouragement from loved ones.
Beginning with a tiny workshop in her sister’s boys’ quarters, Ejiro claimed that she took on modest tailoring projects while trying to win back clients’ trust and grow her business once more.
She claims that the turnaround has beyond her expectations after a year. Since its resurgence, Ejiro claims that her fashion firm has handled more over ₦83 million in inflows.
She also disclosed that she is moving her firm to a completely furnished five-bedroom duplex close to Maitama, Abuja, where it would have a dedicated inverter-powered electrical system and industrial sewing equipment.
Ejiro characterised her experience as evidence that, with perseverance, encouragement, and a new beginning, it is possible to overcome significant setbacks.
