A Nigerian farmer was surprised to see how much an estate gateman earns monthly.
The farmer, @kumigbenga on X, reported that the gateman earns ₦70K per month.

According to the farmer, the estate gateman washes 15 to 16 automobiles for ₦1000 apiece.
The gateman provides washing services for five estate residents every weekend, totalling 30,000 Naira each month.

The farmer tweeted a tweet with nearly a million views, estimating that the estate gateman makes approximately ₦550,000 each month.
Meanwhile, the gateman manages a small farm in the back, growing yam and pepper to sell to estate residents.

‎”I just realized say na this guy fat pass all of us wey dey compound. If he no buy pepper soup for me this weekend make I bend”, He added.

Adekunle Amao stated, “You can calculate his salary but you can’t do his work. Let him enjoy the fruit of his labour instead of acting like a monitoring spirit”
