“I just blocked a 42-year-old man who wanted to marry me” — Lady explains why

A lady has stirred reactions on social media after explaining why she blocked a 42-year-old man who called her his wife just two weeks after they met.

In a viral video, the lady said she initially thought of giving the man, whom she referred to as Mr A, a chance. However, she said their discussion about his living situation, finances and lifestyle made her change her mind.

She said the man had sent her several messages before she agreed to talk to him to assess whether he could be a potential husband.

According to her, Mr A is 42, has never been married and has no children. She said they met two weeks ago, and he declared her his wife on the very first day they met.

She recalled that the man claimed his mother had told him that morning that he would meet his future wife.

Read her words below:

“Mr A is 42 years old, never been married, no kids. We met two weeks ago, and the day he met me, he said I was his wife.

“He said that morning, when he was leaving home, his mother told him he was going to meet his wife that day, and I was the one he claimed was his wife.”

The lady also revealed that Mr A had been engaged to another woman in 2017 or 2018, but the engagement was called off.

When she asked what went wrong, he allegedly said his former fiancée was not submissive, which was why he ended the relationship.

The lady said she decided to ask Mr A about his job and living situation after he kept reaching out to her.

She noted that he had a well-paying job in the tech industry, which she said was a plus. However, she was taken aback when he told her he lived with his parents.

She said she understood people who move back in with their parents due to financial challenges, but questioned why a man earning well had stayed with his parents for years.

According to her, Mr A said he had lived with his parents before renting an apartment when he got engaged to his ex-fiancée.

But after the engagement ended, he moved back to his parents’ house and had stayed there since then.

She said, “I asked him if he had been staying with his parents all this while. He said no, that he was living with them before.

“When he was engaged to his fiancée eight or nine years ago, in 2017, he moved out and rented an apartment. But because the engagement did not work out, he moved back.

“Mr A moved back to his parents’ house eight or nine years ago, and to date, he is still staying with them.”
