Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has cautioned Peter Obi’s supporters, popularly known as Obidients, that he holds more damaging details about his former principal and will reveal them if the attacks against him persist.
Speaking during an interview, Datti expressed his displeasure at the criticism trailing his recent comments about the former Anambra State governor.
He alleged that Obi’s supporters attack him every time he speaks about Obi and the circumstances surrounding the 2023 presidential election.
Clarifying his position, the former vice-presidential candidate insisted that he would not be bullied into silence by supporters who hold contrary views.
Datti said, “Obidients are always eager to attack me. I have more damaging things to reveal. You attack me because I told you the truth about Peter Obi.”
He also insisted that he remains a loyal member of the Labour Party, despite the disagreements surrounding his relationship with Obi.
Datti’s latest remarks come amid rising tensions over Obi’s political moves ahead of the 2027 general election, particularly his move to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
His criticism of Obi’s political decisions reportedly angered supporters, who accused him of betraying his former principal and working for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
However, Datti’s latest warning has added a new twist to the dispute, with the former running mate hinting that he has more information about the 2023 election to reveal.
He did not disclose what the alleged damaging revelations were, nor when he plans to make them public.
