Nollywood actor and political commentator Kenneth Okonkwo, who speaks for ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has vented his frustration with President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, asking what Nigerians did to God to deserve their present predicament.
Speaking on News Central Television, Okonkwo faulted Tinubu’s presidency while backing Atiku’s stance on making fuel affordable.
He also pointed out the letter A in the names of several political figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi and himself, Arinze.
“I don’t know what we did to God for Tinubu to be our president. Oh God, we are sorry. Atiku Abubakar is for affordability. Look at the names: Atiku Abubakar, A; Amaechi, A; even me, Arinze, A too,” he added.
His comments come amid ongoing debates over the cost of living, petrol prices and the Federal Government’s economic policies.
Okonkwo has previously defended Atiku’s proposal on fuel affordability, insisting that making petrol cheaper should be a priority for Nigerians grappling with rising living costs.
His latest remarks have further fuelled the political debate around Tinubu’s leadership and Atiku’s economic proposals ahead of the 2027 general elections.
