I don’t believe marrying poor man can make you happy – Nancy Isime

Nancy Isime, a Nollywood actress, has expressed her thoughts on the importance of financial stability in relationships and marriage, stating that love alone may not be enough to establish a good family life.

During a recent appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, Isime emphasised that she does not believe that marrying a financially suffering partner guarantees a woman a satisfying or enjoyable life.

According to the actress, financial difficulties can put a strain on couples, limiting their capacity to completely enjoy marriage, raise children comfortably, and pursue their common ambitions.

She explained that, while love and compatibility are crucial foundations for every relationship, economic realities must be considered, especially as couples try to raise a family together.

Isime urged intended couples to achieve a respectable level of financial security before marrying and having children, stating that proper planning can help decrease unneeded stress and increase overall family well-being.

Read her words below;

“Marriage is not a poverty alleviation scheme but I don’t believe marrying a poor man can make you happy.

When rent is due, school fees can’t be paid and there is no food in the house, it is difficult to have a fantastic life.

I am not saying there is no love without money. But love and fantastic life are not the same…”
