A Nigerian woman has provoked anger online by publicly discussing her controversial ideas on marriage and infidelity.
In a video shared on X (previously Twitter), she stated that she would never marry for love, preferring to settle down with a wealthy man who can meet her wants while maintaining another relationship outside of marriage.
She believes that marriage for love is a mistake, hence she does not prioritise it.
“I’m the kind of person that will never marry for love. I’ll always marry someone that I don’t like so that I can be able to cheat on him. I will never be a faithful wife, never.”
I will make sure I get married to a wealthy man. I don’t want to love you, no love me. I can’t wait to settle down with someone that will provide all my needs while I have someone outside,” she said.
The lady also stated that she would deliberately conceal her affairs from her future spouse, claiming that she could appear to be going to the market while covertly meeting another man.
She went on to say that she doesn’t believe in romantic love and that her priority is financial security over emotional connection.
Her words have elicited a mixed response online, with many social media users condemning her ideas, while others stated that they mirror continuing discussions about marriage, money, and relationships in modern culture.
