A Nigerian man living in Europe has sparked conversations online after sharing his experience of the emotional and mental difficulties he faced after relocating abroad.

The man, whose identity was not disclosed, said the challenges of living overseas affected him deeply, changing both his physical appearance and his emotional well-being.

‘I became an ugly old man’

Sharing his experience, he wrote: “I came to Europe as a young handsome man, but loneliness, stress, and frustration turned me into an ugly old man.”

His post quickly drew attention on social media, with many Nigerians reacting and discussing the realities of life abroad.

“All you needed was a wife and steady mekwe. Children will come along too. He’s not even lying, it’s easy to get depressed in those countries,” she wrote
