A Nigerian woman identified as @juxcallmegolden on X (formerly Twitter) has sparked laughter online after sharing her frustration with the challenges of getting to know potential romantic partners.

The woman expressed exhaustion with the expectations that come with the talking stage, particularly after a man she was getting to know complained about her slow replies and reluctance to participate in video calls.

According to her post, the man initially complained that she was not responding to his messages quickly enough.

She explained that she was actually busy deleting files from her phone to free up storage space so that her WhatsApp messages could load properly.

However, just as she dealt with that concern, another issue reportedly emerged when the man began complaining that she was unwilling to have video calls with him.

The woman revealed that her phone’s front camera was faulty but was unsure how to explain the situation without giving the impression that she wanted him to pay for a repair or buy her a new phone.

Expressing her frustration, she wrote:

“This talking stage thing don tire me o.

At first, he complained that I wasn’t replying fast, but I was busy deleting things from my phone so my WhatsApp messages could load.

Now, he’s complaining that I don’t want to do video calls with him.

How do I explain to this man that my front camera is not working well without making it look like I’m trying to bill him.”
