“He was toxic”- Man recounts encounter with Kola Onifoto

A man’s story of his encounter with famed biker Kola Onifoto has gone viral, eliciting comments and tributes after his passing.

The biker died from serious injuries sustained during a road collision.

On Facebook, Ufuoma Bernard expressed his grief at Kola Onifoto’s passing.

‎Detailing his encounter with the decesed photographer he shared, “My one chance interface with him on a friend’s wall was sad, he was toxic and vulgar to an old man like me“.

Kola Onifoto and his mother had an emotional talk that went viral.

In the chat his mother warned him to be careful, stating, “Good morning, hope you are okay. Hope you are okay please be careful. always remember the son of whom you are“.

However, Kola responded with “Motigbo” (I heard you).

Throughout his life, Kola Onifoto was recognised for his bright photography, narrative, and adventurous lifestyle, with frequent updates from his journeys across Nigeria.

He recently realised a lifetime desire of becoming a biker by posting photos of himself with his new motorbike.

Kola was also dedicated about helping others, utilising his platform to help individuals recover money from scammers.

Unfortunately, Kola died on March 2, 2026, at the age of 35, in a motorbike accident in Lagos.

He was on his first solo trip outside of Lagos, headed to Akure, when the accident occurred.

He was initially taken to the Federal Road Safety Corps facility and then moved to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
