“Having a man around slows you down” — Lady warns young women about comfort in relationships

A lady has opened up on how being around men might unintentionally impede a woman’s ability to advance both personally and professionally.

She argues in the film that having a partner can often provide a sense of stability and comfort that can deter women from pursuing their own objectives.

Having a man around literally slows you down as a woman. It begins like, ‘Oh my man is here, he can take care of all this,’” she says, highlighting how dependence on a partner can create a false sense of ease.

The woman, who spoke from personal experience, contrasted moments when she was completely independent with times when she needed men’s financial or emotional help.

She notes that a partner’s comfort can occasionally cause women to put off their goals for their personal or professional lives.

You continue waiting for the man when in fact you could have done it for yourself,” she adds.

The film also discusses how simple it is to get into the habit of depending on a spouse for minor comforts, which over time compromises long-term independence.

She gives young ladies clear advice: don’t let a relationship to become a place of comfort that stifles your ambition.

I don’t recommend having a man around 24/7 if you want to actually have a career for yourself,” she urges, encouraging women to stay proactive, self-reliant, and focused on their personal growth.
