Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has shared the story of how she met her husband, revealing that she believed God told her on the very first day they met that he would become her husband.

Speaking in a recent interview with DANG, the actress said she never grew up feeling pressured to get married and was not someone who spent time dreaming about marriage.

“I’ve never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky,” she said.

The actress and screenwriter explained that she met her husband at work when he approached her and attempted to strike up a conversation.

Although she was not initially interested, she eventually gave him an opportunity, and the two began discussing business, importation, and Vietnam.

She further disclosed that as she was about to leave, she felt a strong conviction from God that he was the man she would marry. However, she blocked him two days later before he eventually found a way to reconnect with her.

“As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he’s my husband. Two days later, I blocked him, but he went the extra mile to find me. Four months later, he proposed to me and I accepted,” she added.

Kadiri also revealed that she was in another relationship at the time before eventually agreeing to go on a date with him. She added that sharing aspects of her relationship publicly helped her remain committed to the journey.
