“Give Regina Some Breathing Space” — Ned Nwoko Warns Bloggers Against Spreading False Reports About Estranged Wife

Senator Ned Nwoko has appealed to bloggers, fans and other social media users to stop spreading false information about his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, as she reportedly deals with health challenges.

The Delta North lawmaker made the appeal in a statement shared on social media on Monday, expressing concern over the impact of misleading online publications on the actress and their children.

Nwoko urged the public to show Daniels compassion and allow her the privacy and support she needs instead of judging her based on reports about her personal circumstances.

The senator described the actress as having gone through a difficult period, stressing that she needed encouragement and support as she worked towards recovery.

He also referenced a video Daniels shared on her birthday, October 10, in which she spoke about experiencing severe pain and mobility challenges. The actress had disclosed that her condition kept her away from social media and left her relying on a wheelchair.

Making his appeal, Nwoko said:

“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space.”

He added that their children deserved to see their mother receiving support and having every opportunity to recover.

Nwoko also expressed concern over fabricated stories about Daniels, including false claims announcing her death and misleading reports about her health and personal life.

He warned that individuals responsible for circulating such publications could face legal consequences.

“We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels,” he stated.

The appeal comes amid the ongoing marital crisis between the senator and the actress, which became public in October 2025.

His statement has renewed discussions about the need for sensitivity and responsible reporting when public figures are dealing with personal and health-related challenges.
