This morning, April 9, a minor drama unfolded on Channels TV when Ralph Nwosu, the former chairman of the African Democratic Congress ADC, was forced to apologize to Kayode OkikiOlu, a Channels TV anchor.
It all began when Kayode challenged Nwosu over his allegations that he was given three ministerial positions in order to prevent the coalition from being formed. Remember that in order to field a candidate who would defeat President Tinubu in the general election of 2027, the coalition groups adopted the ADC in July 2025.
At the time, Nwosu said that some people had come to him to make sure the party wouldn’t join the coalition.
While on Channels TV this morning, he was asked to mention the name or names of those that made the ministerial offer to him. He refused to. He then accused Kayode of being sent by someone to ask him that particular question. He claimed Kayode had received a text message from a person to put him on the spot.
It was at this point he was made to apologise as he was unable to substantiate his claim against the TV anchor.
