A family’s visit to a zoo in Yola, Adamawa State, has sparked reactions online after they reportedly discovered that the animal enclosures contained statues instead of live animals.

According to Yakaka Yerima, who shared a video of the visit on Facebook, the family paid an entrance fee expecting to see live animals but were left shocked by what they found.

Sharing her experience, she wrote:

“We entered a zoo in Yola yesterday and paid 500 naira per person to view the animals, only to be shocked by these statues.”

The video has since gone viral, with many social media users expressing amusement and disbelief, while others questioned the condition of the zoo and called for improvements to tourist attractions in the state.

As of the time of filing this report, the management of the zoo has not publicly responded to the viral video or the claims made by the visitors.
