Ex-Yahoo boy closes ₦50m deal in first week, gets car and ₦5m after boss sacked HR who exposed him

A former internet fraudster reportedly sealed a ₦50 million real estate deal in his first week on a new job, earning rewards from his boss, who later fired an HR manager for questioning his past.

The story was shared on X by a user identified as @Mikeliberation, who narrated how the young man, who allegedly lived in his compound, got a job at a real estate firm and quickly impressed his employer with his sales results.

The employee reportedly got five percent of the ₦50 million deal, while the company owner also rented a decent apartment for him.

Recounting the incident, @Mikeliberation said the young man stunned his colleagues by closing a ₦50 million deal within his first week at the real estate company.

His performance was said to have earned him a five percent commission on the deal, along with accommodation provided by the company owner.

@Mikeliberation The X user wrote, “A former yahoo boy in my compound got a job at a real estate company.

“In his first week, he closed a deal worth ₦50 million. Everyone was shocked. The owner of the company gave him 5% of the deal and rented a good apartment for him.”

The young man’s performance reportedly kept improving over the next three months, during which he closed more deals than some of his senior colleagues.

His success earned him further rewards, including a Toyota Corolla and a refrigerator.

However, his achievements allegedly sparked envy among some colleagues, who were reportedly displeased with how fast he was rising in the company.

The situation reportedly worsened when the company’s HR manager approached the owner and raised concerns about the employee’s background.

The HR manager allegedly told the owner that the young man had previously been involved in internet fraud and could eventually abscond with the company’s funds.

He said: “The HR manager went to the owner and told him that the young man was a former yahoo boy and might run away with the company’s money one day.”

Instead of sacking the employee over the allegation, the company owner reportedly fired the HR manager on the spot.

The next day, the owner allegedly came to the office, commended the young man and gave him an additional ₦5 million.

“The owner sacked the HR manager immediately.

“The next day, the owner came to the office, hype the young man, and gave him another ₦5 million,” @Mikeliberation stated.

The story has drawn the attention of many X users, with several sharing their opinions on the incident.
