In response to mounting criticism of his administration, Abia State Governor Alex Otti urged supporters and locals to disregard what he called pointless diversions.
Speaking at an occasion, the governor emphasised that people who complain the loudest are frequently the least important, dismissing the attacks as mere noise.
“I want us to just dismiss it as noise, you know, and it’s always the empty barrel that makes the loudest noise. They are a tiny minority. And God doesn’t make mistakes.
And he doesn’t have an unfinished project. So, I don’t want anybody to lose breath or worry about it,” he said.
The comments seem to be a direct reaction to recent political jabs and public discussions about Abia state’s governance.
Orji Uzor Kalu, a former senator and governor of Abia State, had accused Governor Otti of being idle a few days prior, saying that the current administration is simply repairing and repainting roads built while he was in office.
Additionally, Kalu declared his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), his new political platform, which he claimed would do a better job of providing the people with government.
However, Governor Otti stated that his administration is still committed to its developmental objective and that he is not distracted by the critiques.
The governor’s message is unwavering as the political climate in Abia State intensifies: despite the cacophony from political rivals, he is unflinching, self-assured, and dedicated to carrying out his mission.
