A man has been arrested following the st@bbing of a doctor at Hillingdon Hospital in west London.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2:40 a.m. on May 26 while the doctor, a man in his 50s, was treating a patient inside the hospital. Authorities believe he may have been specifically targeted during the att@ck.
According to reports, the doctor was stabbed multiple times before police officers—who were already at the hospital on an unrelated assignment—responded to the scene. The victim was later transferred to another hospital in west London for treatment.
Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that the doctor’s injuries were not considered life-threatening or life-changing.
Police identified the suspect as Mahdi Abdullahi, a 27-year-old from Uxbridge. He has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and is also under arrest on suspicion of attempted m•√der. Abdullahi is expected to appear before Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on May 27.
