An Ondo High Court sitting in Akure has dismissed Hon. Aderoboye Samuel, the attorney who served as the Deputy Speaker of the Ondo Assembly for Odigbo Constituency II.
The Assembly must immediately rehire Hon. Iroju Ogundeji as its Deputy Speaker, the court ruled.
For alleged serious wrongdoing, Ogundeji, who represents Odigbo Constituency 2, was impeached. According to The Nation, he was suspended in July 2020 and tried unsuccessfully to continue plenary after receiving court orders.
The court that overturned Ogundeji’s 2020 impeachment as Deputy Speaker also ruled that Aderoboye must stop posing as the position.
