Mbagwu Jenifa, a Nigerian woman, talked about her experience sharing a home with her mother-in-law.
In response to a Nigerian man’s article encouraging ladies to ensure they are psychologically ready if they intend to live with their mother-in-law, she recounted her own experience.
Jenifa claims that because of her mother-in-law, she made a vow to God to treat her future daughters-in-law with respect and affection.
Another Nigerian woman, meanwhile, said that she ended her marriage because her mother-in-law nearly made her into a gaunt slave.
“A living single mother is better than a dead married woman,” she added.
