Georgina Onuoha, a socialite, has harshly slammed Senator Ned Nwoko for his prolonged public feud with his separated wife, actress Regina Daniels, characterising his actions as disturbing and disrespectful.
In a lengthy statement posted online, Onuoha said that the senator’s repeated social media posts and public accusations against the young actress demonstrate a habit of control rather than care.
She said that continued public participation, including allegations and personal assaults, was inappropriate for a prominent public figure and urged caution.
Onuoha also voiced concern about the age difference in the relationship, pointing out that Daniels was a teenager when it began, and emphasised that people have the right to exit relationships they no longer feel healthy.
She decried what she called attempts to harm Daniels’ character, including charges of substance usage, which she claimed were refuted by independent drug test findings.
According to her, the case shows a larger issue of how women are treated when they choose to end their relationships, warning that continued public pressure, intimidation, and character assaults can have major implications.
She urged Senator Nwoko to accept Daniels’ decision and enable her to move on, while also encouraging Nigerians to come out against what she described as harassment and reputational harm.
