Residents of Ekpoma, Edo State, have gone into mourning after a popular businessman, Justice Oshioke, was killed just hours before his child’s dedication ceremony.

Oshioke, the CEO of a fast-food restaurant, Principle Takeout, was apparently murdered on Saturday night by suspected k+dn@ppers.

He was claimed to have been attacked while going home in Ekpoma’s Idumebo neighbourhood.According to an unnamed eyewitness, the assailants attempted to take him but he refused.

 “The att@ckers tried to drag him into the bush, but he resisted and he was sh%t,” the source said. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed d+ad. 

The incident occurred a day before his newborn child’s intended dedication, leaving family and residents in shock and sadness.

The Edo State Police Command verified the event through its spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, and described it as a sad ki+ling.

“The Edo State Police Command is deeply saddened by the tragic m¥rder of Justice Abu Oshioke.He was f@tally sh+t by unidentified armed men on 2nd May 2026 at about 9:55 p.m. at Idumebo, Ekpoma,” she said.

She added that he was taken to the hospital where he was confirmed d+ad.
