“Broke girls and audacity…” — Date ends in chaos after woman arrives with five friends expecting man to foot the bill

A man’s claim that he left a date with takeaway when the woman he invited showed up with five friends and demanded that he pay for them all has caused controversy on the internet.

The man claims that the outing was originally intended for just the two of them.

But after finding out how much he made each month, he said the woman showed up with five companions without telling him.

After screenshots of what seemed to be their private conversation circulated online, the incident attracted more attention.

The argument over who should have paid for the meal escalated rapidly as the two insulted each other in the messages.

Sharing his version of events, the man wrote, “So Because I told this girl how much I make monthly she decided to bring her 5 friends on a date we planned together without telling me. Now I ordered food myself and one plate for her then asked the waiter to add 5 spoons, she’s calling me broke and insulting me for not buying a plate for each 5 of them. While they were insulting me and calling me broke I quietly called the waiter to take the food and transfer it inside take away, when he returned I paid for the food, entered my car and drove home leaving them there.”

In the screenshots, the woman accuses him of embarrassing her and her friends, while the man questions why she brought more visitors and maintains that he had only intended to serve the two of them.

Social media users have responded to the message in a variety of ways, with differing opinions about who was at fault.

While many contended that it was improper to invite unwanted companions on a date, others condemned the insults exchanged between the two parties.

As of the time of publishing, there is no independent confirmation of the events, and the claims are still based only on the man’s narrative and the posted screenshots.
