According to a video posted on Fox News on Friday July 17, 2026, Adi Schwarz said recent strikes on Iranian infrastructure mark a turning point in the US-Iran conflict.

Speaking about new US military action that struck bridges and collapsed a tower at a key Iranian port, Schwarz said the shift toward hitting civilian and dual-use infrastructure signals a more serious phase of the campaign that began with Operation Epic Fury.

Schwarz explained that until recently, the United States and Israel had avoided targeting basic infrastructure such as roads, bridges and train tracks, focusing instead on military and nuclear-related sites.

He said the decision to strike broader infrastructure represents a deliberate change in strategy.

In his words, Adi Schwarz said, “there’s a difference, until now the United States and Israel tried not to harm the basic infrastructure of the country, the economy.

“And it was clear that this is a different stage, this is a new stage by attacking infrastructure, civilian or dual usage army infrastructure, that is a different level, and I think we’re still, this is still the beginning.

“But if we will see in the next coming days and weeks more and more attacks of Iranian infrastructure, not only military bases, not only nuclear facilities, then I think it is very important, I think it’s a new stage,” he said.

Schwarz said the coming weeks would be important in showing how far this new approach extends, and how Iran chooses to respond.

He noted that Iran has previously threatened to retaliate against energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the UAE if its own infrastructure comes under sustained attack, adding another layer of risk to an already volatile regional situation.
