“At my expense” — Man forced to replace entire toilet after client discovers worker’s mess during inspection

A guy has had an uncomfortable encounter at a workplace after a client allegedly spotted excrement in her visitor’s toilet during an inspection.

According to the man, one of his employees used the toilet but forgot to flush it before the client arrived for the inspection.

The client did not restrict her demand to cleaning the toilet after what she seen, the man added, recounting the situation.

He wrote, “She got angry immediately. Told me to replace the entire WC, wall tiles, everything in that toilet.”

He added, “At my expense. She left in anger.”

In an effort to find the culprit, the contractor assembled his employees after the occurrence. But none of them acknowledged using the loo without flushing, he claimed.

He claimed that as a result, he forced all of the employees to leave the site and was left to pay for the toilet’s replacement.

The man noted that he purposefully discusses losses alongside his triumphs and characterised the occurrence as one of the challenging aspects of his job.

Reflecting on the challenges of managing workers on construction sites, he added, “Dealing with humans is the most difficult job on any site.”

The incident demonstrates how a worker’s seemingly insignificant negligence can have serious repercussions for a contractor who is in charge of completing a job for a client.
