A Nigerian market woman has expressed firm support for President Bola Tinubu to complete an eight-year tenure, arguing that he deserves two terms like his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the woman, who said she is from Delta State, argued that Tinubu should not take full blame for Nigeria’s economic hardship, insisting he did not create the country’s problems.

She also said she opposes an Igbo person becoming Nigeria’s president, claiming that an Igbo leader would betray the country.

“President Tinubu must complete his eight years. He’s not the one who started the suffering. After completing his eight years, God can now send a good leader.

“For me, I will support him because the other presidents completed their eight years. Tinubu is not the first. When Buhari served his tenure, he completed his eight years, so Tinubu should be allowed to do the same.

“I’m from Delta State. An Igbo man cannot rule Nigeria because he will betray us.”

Her comments come ahead of the 2027 general election, with the incumbent president Tinubu seeking a second term in office.
