Speaking about his long-standing friendship with billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, Nigerian musician Davido revealed that the businessman has been related to his family since birth.

The Afrobeats artist, whose real name is David Adeleke, revealed the information while talking about Dangote’s way of life and the financial guidance he has given him on numerous occasions over the years.

Davido recalled Dangote’s participation when his mother came home from the hospital, revealing that Dangote was present at a significant event related to his birth.

Davido said, “Aliko Dangote drove my mom home from the hospital when she gave birth to me.”

In addition to the familial relationship, the musician revealed that Dangote has always counselled him to manage his money wisely.

The singer clarified that Dangote had been giving him this advise since he was a young guy and that it was not something he started doing once he achieved success in the music profession.

Davido also discussed his observations of exceedingly wealthy people, implying that despite their wealth, their daily lives might be quite mundane.

“Billionaires are the most normal people,” he said.

In addition to highlighting the Adeleke family’s extended association with Dangote, his comments also call attention to the billionaire’s constant advice to save money.

In the past, Davido has publicly discussed Dangote’s frugal spending habits and referred to the industrialist as a close friend of his father.
