A 16-year-old boy allegedly sh0t de@d by a police officer after terror!zing his mom and her boyfriend

A 16-year-old boy allegedly carrying a knife was sh0t by police during a family dispute in Santa Ana on Sunday night, June 14.

The Santa Ana Police Department said the sh00ting happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Main Street after officers responded to a report of a d0mestic disturbance.

Police stated that a man called to report that his girlfriend’s 16-year-old son, who was allegedly under the influence, was damaging property inside their apartment and had also allegedly st@bbed him with a knife.

When officers arrived, they encountered the teenager who was still allegedly armed with the knife, and an officer-involved sh00ting occurred.

The teen was pronounced d3ad at the scene, while no officers were injured.

“Our officers were presented with a very complex situation,” Santa Ana police spokesperson Natalie Garcia told The Post.

“Our concern in a family dispute like that is just to de-escalate and try to get the cooperation of all parties involved, regardless of age,” Garcia explained.

“Unfortunately, in the situation, the 16-year-old was armed with a lethal weapon, and our officers engaged him, and that’s when the officer-involved shooting occurred,” Garcia added.

The case remains under investigation by the Santa Ana Police Department’s H0micide Unit, Internal Affairs Division, and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
