2026 WAEC: Lady who had 5Bs cries out after scoring D7s in her “important subjects”

Despite earning good ratings in a number of courses, a Nigerian woman’s 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results caused a stir online.

On August 5, 2026, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) issued the results. The young woman, named as Ndubuisi Gift from Saint Maria Goretti Grammar School in Benin City, posted her results on TikTok.

Ndubuisi voiced her dismay in a TikTok post after reviewing her scores and seeing that she did poorly in the disciplines she thought were most crucial.

She wrote:

“WAEC release today. I got weak in my important subjects. Trying again next year.”

She received five B grades and one C in a few of her disciplines, according to the screenshot of her results.

Civic education (B2), marketing (B3), economics (B3), agriculture (B3), biology (B3), and English language (C4) were among her grades.

She did, however, receive a D7 in General Mathematics and a D7 in Physics, which she identified as her primary courses.

The student was thinking about taking the test again in 2027 because of the poor results in Physics and Mathematics.

Instead of keeping her outcome a secret, Ndubuisi made her experience public and expressed her resolve to give it another go.

Social media users have now responded to her message, with many urging her to persevere and applauding her choice to continue trying to raise her grades.
