A 20-year-old man, Aminu Adamu, has been arrested alongside two others for allegedly conspiring to att@ck his mother and r%b her and other family members at their residence in Wuro-Kuturu, in the Jimeta area of Yola, Adamawa State.

The Adamawa State Police Command said the incident occurred at about midnight on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. According to the command, Adamu allegedly teamed up with Adamu Mamman, 22, and Nuhu Umar, 22, armed themselves with d@ngerous weapons and gained entry into the family home.

The suspects allegedly r%bbed the victims of ₦200,000, two mobile phones and a power bank before fleeing the scene.

The police said operatives attached to the Karewa Area Command arrested the three suspects on Thursday, September 17, following a report from the victim. Items recovered from them included a knife, pliers, scissors, suspected hard dr¥gs and quantities of Indian h+mp.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, said the suspects confessed to the crime during interrogation.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, ordered a thorough investigation into the case and directed that the suspects be diligently prosecuted.
