Nigerian sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan has secured qualification for the 2026 Wanda Diamond League Final after an impressive and consistent performance in the women’s 100m hurdles throughout the season.
The world record holder amassed 28 points across five Diamond League meetings, comfortably earning her place in the season-ending championship scheduled for September 4–5 in Brussels, Belgium.
Amusan currently sits second in the Diamond League standings behind American hurdler Masai Russell, who leads with 32 points. Both athletes are expected to compete in the remaining meetings in London, Lausanne, Silesia and Zurich before the final in Brussels.
The former world champion has posted a season’s best of 12.28 seconds on three occasions this year, while Russell holds the fastest time in the world this season with 12.14 seconds.
Amusan will be aiming to claim her fourth Diamond League title when she competes in Brussels.
