A pastor has encouraged Christians to give generously of their money as well as words of thanksgiving to God.
Speaking at a church service, he argued that giving thanks should entail one’s substance and that it is dishonourable to profess to be grateful while giving little or nothing.
The cleric stated that a person’s Thanksgiving donation should be commensurate with their financial situation and that people who are fortunate financially shouldn’t donate as if they had very little.
In order to demonstrate his point about giving generously, he also revealed that he has been making thanksgiving offerings of millions of naira.
Read what he said below;
“It’s important for you to note this reality and note it very well. God is King of the whole earth. It is dishonouring to say you are grateful and your substance is not involved. You cannot thank God empty handed,, you have to thank God with substance, you can’t give God what you like or what you wish, if you have 2 cars and a house and millions in income, you cannot be giving like a tenant. If you’re grateful, your Thanksgiving offering should reflect your status. I started giving my thanksgiving offering in millions since yesterday. How did I get to this place…”
