“You dey lie oo” – Apostle Johnson Suleman slams clerics claiming to visit heaven amid Pastor Arome controversy

Senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has questioned preachers who claim to have visited heaven multiple times, describing some of their accounts as unbelievable.

Suleman made the remarks during a recent sermon, where he expressed doubts about claims of repeated heavenly encounters amid discussions surrounding accounts of spiritual experiences shared by fellow preachers, including Pastor Arome Osayi.

During his sermon, the cleric questioned how some preachers could claim to have visited heaven several times, particularly those who reportedly describe such experiences as annual occurrences.

He expressed surprise at the confidence with which some ministers share their accounts of travelling to heaven.

“In this generation, you will hear somebody say, ‘I have gone to heaven five times.’ Which heaven did you go to? I heard somebody saying, ‘This year, when I went to heaven.’ So, he goes to heaven every year,” Suleman stated.

Suleman also questioned claims by some preachers that they encountered biblical figures during their alleged heavenly experiences.

He suggested that some of the accounts being shared were fabricated and criticised those who presented them as genuine spiritual encounters.

“When I went to heaven this year, I said, ‘Eeeh! These people are bold o. The way they lie.’ When I got to heaven, God now showed me. I saw Paul and Solo. Eeeeh! You dey lie o,” he added.

The cleric’s comments have drawn attention to differing perspectives among Christian ministers regarding claims of supernatural experiences and visits to heaven.

While some preachers share such experiences as part of their testimonies, Suleman’s remarks reflect his scepticism towards accounts he considers questionable.

His comments have also brought renewed attention to the discussions surrounding heavenly encounters and the importance of examining extraordinary spiritual claims critically.
