A Nigerian woman has ignited intense debate online after revealing her thoughts on why women undertake cosmetic surgeries such as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
In a video published on X (previously Twitter), she stated that women who undergo surgery do so for reasons other than those commonly assumed.
Reas what she said below:
“No married woman is doing a BBL to stay with her husband. No woman is doing it to keep her man. They are doing it for their own target audience, not for their partner.”
She also used popular celebrities like as BamBam and Regina Daniels to support her thesis, stating that body augmentation has little to do with maintaining relationships.
According to her, even in long-term marriages, such decisions can alter dynamics, as women who undergo such treatments frequently shift their attention afterwards.
Look at Bambam and Regina Daniels. After everything, their relationships still changed. Even a woman married for 30 years did BBL and things were no longer the same. So it’s not about keeping a man, it’s about something else entirely,” she added.
Social media users have shared mixed opinions, while some agreed to her to her claims, others disagreed, saying her examples were not accurate and shouldn’t define everyone’s reality.
One user wrote, “Lowkey she said some truth, but people won’t like to hear it.” Another added, “At the end of the day, it’s their body, their choice. Simple.”
