Woman Who Spent 40 Years B4gging Found D3ad With Sacks Containing ₹8.4 Lakh Hidden in Her Home

A 69-year-old woman who reportedly spent more than four decades begging has been found d3ad at her home in Mandya, Karnataka, India, with sacks containing a large amount of cash and coins discovered inside the property.

Noorunnisa, also known as Noor or Hoor, was reportedly found d3ad on Sunday, August 23, after neighbours became concerned when she had not been seen outside for several days.

According to reports, Noorunnisa had lived with a long-term mental illness and spent much of her life begging at traffic junctions around the area.

After her d3ath, relatives and neighbours reportedly began cleaning her home and discovered a locked private room that she had allegedly kept guarded for decades.

Inside, they reportedly found more than 30 sacks containing thousands of coins and currency notes, including denominations of ₹10, ₹20 and ₹50.

Reports said 10 of the sacks were found to contain approximately ₹8.40 lakh (₹840,000) in cash.

The discovery reportedly shocked residents who had known Noorunnisa primarily as an elderly woman who depended on begging for her livelihood.

The family temporarily handed the sacks over to a local mosque for safekeeping and counting while they awaited other relatives.

The unusual discovery has sparked widespread reactions, with many people expressing surprise at how much money the woman had accumulated over several decades of begging.
