A woman has sparked widespread outrage and calls for an investigation after she allegedly revealed online that her family k!lled her sister’s children because they believed the children had been sent to test their family.
She made the claim while reacting to a viral video in which a woman was confronted for abaπdoning her child.
The woman in the video explained that she had been advised by a spiritual leader to abaπdon the child, who has a disability affecting mobility. According to her, the spiritual leader claimed the child was responsible for her repeated miscarriages.
As many Nigerians condemned the mother’s actions, a Facebook user, Ruth Eugene Vanger, publicly defended her.
In doing so, Ruth reportedly shared her family’s story in support of the woman’s decision, prompting backlash and renewed calls for authorities to investigate the claims.
She wrote: “Person wey never born snake pikin go think say this woman w!cked. That was how my cousin sister did her to her own but, the child still came back to her.
“Her legs were tied with cable wire before been thrown into the river and when she came and born again for my sister she was born with the mark on her legs.
“Her second coming was worster (sic) than the first one. Infact, she came with special forces. She make sure she dried my sister of her finances, k!lled her husband and she couldn’t give birth to any other child for 8 years.
“It was a blessed mother in brotherhood of the cross and star that did assignment and on the last day she instructed she should be cut into pieces and burn with fuel into ashes and her remains be poured inside river. When that was done my sister recovered everything within one year.”
A shocked Facebook user asked her if she was admitting that her family k!lled two children.
Ruth replied: “And those 2 children k!lled their own father and almost k!lled their mother if God didn’t intervened (sic)”.
