A man shared screenshots of a heated exchange with his girlfriend after an expensive Valentine’s Day outing, causing widespread reactions on social media.

The chat, which surfaced online on Friday, depicts the man confronting his partner about her whereabouts after allegedly dropping her off at home in the evening.

According to the messages, the woman claimed she went straight to sleep after returning home, which the man openly questioned.

In the conversation, the man questioned the timeline, asking, “So you’re trying to tell me that you slept off yesterday around 7pm and you’re waking up around 6pm today?”

The woman repeatedly stated that she was telling the truth, raising further suspicion.

Man questions girlfriend’s whereabouts

Tension rose when the man accused her of lying, claiming that he later visited her home and was told by the gatekeeper that she had been picked up by another man in a Benz. “I be like mumu for your eye na,” he wrote, frustrated and surprised.

Following the exchange, several missed calls and silenced voice notes were recorded, suggesting a breakdown in communication between the pair.

Reacting to the viral post, the man lamented what he described as emotional ingratitude despite his efforts to make Valentine’s Day memorable.

He wrote, “Why are girls never satisfied. After I did everything for her yesterday, spent over 300k just to make her Valentine special.”
