A Nigerian man, Imran Otuwose Oganji, has sparked concern on social media after revealing that a mentally challenged woman he frequently sees around Mararaba, Nasarawa State, is visibly pregnant.
Oganji said he spotted the woman on Monday morning, July 13, 2026, at the Sharp Corner junction in Mararaba and was shocked to discover that she appeared to be several months pregnant.
According to him, the discovery left him deeply disturbed as he questioned who could have impregnated a woman living with mental illness and what would happen to both her and the child after delivery.
“MEN! If you’re familiar with the Sharp Corner junction here in Mararaba, then you should know this woman,” he wrote.
“This morning, I saw her at the junction, and to my surprise, I noticed she was pregnant. From the look of things, she should be about six or seven months gone.
“I kept wondering, what kind of man, in his right mind, would do such a thing to this woman?
“It just doesn’t make any sense to me. So, what happens after she gives birth? Who will take care of her and the baby? I’m not even sure she can identify the person responsible. It’s just so sad.”
