We’ll Accept Whatever Punishment FA Serves Us, Including Relegation – Guardiola Speaks on Man City FFP Charges

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that the team will take whatever discipline the Premier League hands out in response to their financial rule violations.

Prior to this weekend’s match against Aston Villa, Guardiola made this statement on Friday while speaking to the media.

Manchester City has been charged with more than 100 financial-related offenses.

The accusations against City date from 2009 to 2018, and the Premier League made the announcement on Monday.

Champions risk being found guilty by receiving fines or even being kicked out of the top division.

“Time will dictate what is going to happen. In case we are not innocent, we will accept what the judge or the Premier League decides.”

“When UEFA charged us, it was the same. The same articles, the same accusations. We have been in the lower divisions. We will go back there, just in case.”

“We will defend ourselves like what happened in the UEFA situation.”
