We Will Blow Up Oman If They Interfere in the Strait of Hormuz – Trump

United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday issued a strong warning to Oman during a cabinet meeting at the White House, saying the US would respond forcefully if the Gulf nation interferes in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes.

Speaking before senior administration officials, Trump declared that Oman “will behave like everybody else, or we’ll have to blow them up,” adding that Omani authorities “understand that.”

According to Al Jazeera, the remarks came amid growing tensions in the Middle East and increasing concerns over maritime security in the strategic waterway, through which a significant portion of the world’s oil supply passes daily.

The comments quickly drew international attention due to their aggressive tone and the sensitivity of the region.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical route for global energy exports, and any disruption there could have serious economic and geopolitical consequences.

Trump also addressed ongoing discussions involving Iran, saying Tehran is eager to reach an agreement with Washington, although the United States is still dissatisfied with the current state of negotiations.

According to Trump, Iran is “very much intent” on making a deal, but he stressed that the US expects more concessions before any agreement can be finalized.

He stated that while progress has been made, Washington has not yet achieved the outcome it wants.

“We’re not satisfied with it, but we will be,” Trump said during the meeting.

He added that if diplomacy fails, the United States may be forced to “finish the job,” without elaborating on what actions that could involve.

The remarks come as tensions between the US and Iran continue to dominate international attention, with diplomatic efforts ongoing to prevent further escalation across the Middle East.
