Wale Okunnu, a Nollywood actor, has blamed petroleum marketers for the rise in petrol pump prices.
In a video posted on social media, Okunnu questioned why the price of gasoline in Nigeria continued to rise while in other parts of the world.
He questioned whether the government should be held accountable for this.
‘’As at Saturday, petrol was N1240 per litre but as at Sunday, March 22, it has risen to N1340 per litre. Please, is it the government that increased the pump price within hours or we the people? What the marketers are doing with the regards to petrol pump price is not small. We know there is war in Isreal and Iran but don’t we have our own crude oil? Why is it that our own petrol is so expense? Other countries that have petrol, why is theirs not as expensive as ours? We are the ones punishing ourselves”
