Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reprimanded real estate brokers in the state who reportedly extort renters after collecting the legally required 10% of the annual rent.
Soludo, who issued the warning while addressing locals, said he has received allegations that some agencies impose additional fees to tenants even after they have paid their rent.
“I learnt that after tenants pay their house rent, agents still collect additional fees from them. House agents in Anambra State should get ready, we are coming for them soon,” he said.
