Teddy Onwuchekwa, a 17-year-old boy, has contacted social media activist Verydarkman to ask for assistance in finding his estranged Nigerian father, who vanished from his life decades ago.
Teddy, who was born and raised in London to a Nigerian father and an English mother, claimed that his father abandoned him when he was only two years old, leaving him unaware of his current location.
The adolescent claims that numerous attempts to find his father over the years have failed.

“Good evening Verydarkman, my name is Teddy Onwuchekwa and I’m 17 years old. I am London born of an English mother and a Nigerian father. His name was Derrick Onwuchekwa. He left when I was 2 years old and I don’t know where he is or how I can find him. I’d be very happy if you help me locate him. I have pictures of my granddad and my father to help locate him.”
In response, VeryDarkman shared the young boy’s story on social media and displayed photographs said to be of Teddy’s father and grandfather.
He appealed to the public to help circulate the images and provide any information that could lead to locating the family.
